Prior to joining TWC, Rasanja held key positions at renowned organizations. He served as the Assistant Group Treasurer at Richard Pieris and Company PLC (RPC) from 2007 to 2012, where he managed the Group's pension fund, capital raising initiatives, corporate finance and restructuring, investment decisions, and foreign exchange management. Additionally, he spent 10 months as the Corporate Finance Manager at Global Rubber Industries (Private) Limited (GRI), leading mergers and acquisitions transactions, managing the company's share portfolio, and providing strategic advice on investments and liquidity management.

Rasanja's expertise extends to international investment banking, having spent 7 years as the Head of Corporate Finance at CIMB Investment Bank in Colombo. During his tenure, he directed several high-profile transactions, including TPG Capital's acquisition of a 75% stake in Union Bank of Colombo PLC, which marked the single largest investment by a global private equity fund in Sri Lanka's financial services sector. He also served as an advisor on various mergers and acquisitions, divestments, and debt arrangement transactions.
