With an illustrious career spanning over 25 years, Harin is a seasoned professional in the financial services sector covering corporate finance, infrastructure finance, debt and equity capital markets. 

His extensive expertise has been honed through working in Sri Lanka, Australia, Singapore, India, China, Hong Kong, Indonesia and most recently in Timor Leste. Throughout his career, he has consistently demonstrated a keen understanding of financial intricacies and client needs, making him a trusted leader in the field. 

Harin is dedicated to fostering resilient, inclusive, and sustainable development, infusing purpose into every financial endeavor or mandate he undertakes. 

At TWC, Harin is responsible for leveraging his financial expertise to structure public private partnerships, assist distressed corporates with viable turnaround strategies and restructuring plans, offering technical advisory services for corporates and SOEs in collaboration with Development Finance Institutions and donor agencies.    

Additionally, Harin is responsible driving financial strategies for clients that go beyond profit, aiming to create positive social and environmental change while delivering sustainable financial return.

Harin’s interests are in surfing, golf and has recently taken up muay thai which he says has helped improve his concentration, focus and fitness.  He has an interest in classic cars.

Professional Background

Over 25 years financial services experience with 19 of those at Westpac Banking Corporation group in various locations and sectors and including leading teams in credit analysis, origination, risk management, portfolio management across Infrastructure & Utilities, Agriculture, Transport, Logistics and Technology, Commodity Trading and Financial Institution sectors.  Financing mandates covered general corporate products, structured asset and commodity finance, structured trade, project finance, subordinated / mezzanine finance and sustainability linked financing.    

Educational Background

Harin holds a Masters’ of Applied Finance from University of Melbourne and a Bachelor of Business Administration from University of North Florida.  He completed his schooling in Sri Lanka and high school in Malaysia.   

He is currently enrolled at Cambridge University, UK pursuing a Sustainable Finance certification.
